Mobility in Belo Horizonte

The traffic in Belo Horizonte isn’t good but its not the worst in Brazil. In addition to cars and motorcycles,  we have the subway (just one line, that’s ridiculous) and the bus, called MOVE, that was started in 2013 and for me was a really good idea because became easier to get to the center with the direct lines, but the nurturing mother lines leading to the bus stations, are bad because some lines spend a lot of time to pass. In the rush, the traffic became terrible and the public transports are always too full, the price of the tickets don’t match with the conditions of bus .

Moreover, it’s important to say that because of the poorly planned streets like in Venda Nova, when it rains there is flooding and accidents. However, in some regions, like in Pampulha there are bike-sharing schemes provided for the Itau’s bank, its very practical and cheap but I can’t believe that people will change their cars for bikes, because the most of the population are too lazy to do this. I think its difficult the mobility get better but its possible create another line of subway that pick up all the city and a planning for flood risk areas. Besides the government might create projects that encourage the people to use more bikes, its crucial that has more bike lanes.
